1. Fashion Jewellery
Purnave Jewelz sells fashion jewellery. Unless a product page expressly states otherwise, products are not solid gold, solid silver, platinum, natural precious gemstones or investment-grade jewellery. Gold-tone, silver-tone and rose-gold-tone descriptions generally refer to colour or surface finish.
2. Product-Specific Materials
Many products use stainless steel as the base material and PVD coating as the surface finish. Some products may use other permitted metals, alloys, plating methods, stones, enamel, glass, resin, cubic zirconia, synthetic stones or decorative components. The product-specific description should be reviewed before purchase and will control over a general statement in this Policy.
3. Nickel and Lead Statements
Products are sourced on the basis that they are nickel-free and lead-free unless otherwise stated. These statements should be used only where supported by reliable supplier specifications or testing. They do not amount to a medical or allergy-free guarantee.
4. Anti-Tarnish Meaning
“Anti-tarnish” means that a product is designed or treated to resist tarnishing and colour change better than ordinary untreated fashion jewellery under appropriate use and care. It does not mean that tarnishing, fading, scratching, discolouration or wear is impossible or permanently prevented.
Actual longevity varies according to skin chemistry, humidity, storage, frequency of wear, friction and exposure to water, sweat, perfume, cosmetics, sanitiser, cleaning products, chlorine, salt water and other chemicals. Because not every item has completed the same wear-testing protocol, Purnave Jewelz does not provide a fixed anti-tarnish life or anti-tarnish warranty unless a specific product page expressly states otherwise.
5. Water, Sweat and Chemical Exposure
A product should not be treated as waterproof unless its product page expressly makes a supported waterproof or water-resistance claim. To extend product life, remove jewellery before bathing, swimming, exercising, sleeping, household cleaning or applying perfume, moisturiser, hair products or sanitiser.
6. Colour and Image Variations
Purnave Jewelz aims to display products accurately. Actual colour, shine, texture and scale may vary because of photography lighting, editing, monitor or mobile-screen settings, production batches and reflections from metal surfaces. Such minor variations are not automatically defects.
7. Size, Weight and Handmade Variations
Measurements and weights may be approximate. Natural-looking, handmade or decorative elements may show minor differences in colour, shape, placement or finish. Product images may be enlarged to show detail and should not be used as the sole measure of scale.
8. Skin Sensitivity
Individual skin reactions cannot be predicted. “Nickel-free”, “lead-free” or similar material statements do not mean that a product is medically hypoallergenic for every person. Discontinue use if irritation, redness, swelling or discomfort occurs and seek medical advice where appropriate.
9. Normal Wear and Damage
Fine scratches, gradual plating wear, loss of shine, oxidation, bent posts, loose stones caused by impact, and damage from misuse, chemicals, moisture or improper storage may occur over time and are not manufacturing defects.
10. Care Instructions
- Keep jewellery dry and wipe gently with a clean, soft cloth after use.
- Store pieces separately in a dry pouch or box to reduce friction and scratches.
- Avoid perfume, sanitiser, cosmetics, cleaning products, chlorine and salt water.
- Do not use abrasive cloths, toothpaste, harsh metal polish or chemical cleaners.
- Handle clasps, posts, chains and stones gently; do not pull or bend them.
11. Adult Use
Products are intended for adults and are not designed or marketed as children’s products. Small components may present a choking risk and should be kept away from children and pets.
12. No Warranty Unless Expressly Stated
No general anti-tarnish, colour-retention or lifetime warranty is provided. Any product-specific warranty must be expressly written on the relevant product page and is subject to its stated conditions. Nothing in this disclaimer limits non-excludable rights under applicable consumer law.
